Online access to AGU journals, which was cut off due to procurement processes beyond the library's control, has been restored. If you have any problems accessing the full-text of any AGU journal online, please contact Joan Segal, x5565, firstname.lastname@example.org <mailto:email@example.com>.
The Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Scientific and Technical Information recently developed a new portal focused specifically on green energy materials. Named simply DOE Green Energy, the portal provides access to 30,000 technical reports and 2,000 patents either published or funded by the DOE.
The DOE Green Energy site was designed for ease of use. From the main page, simply type your keyword(s) into the search box and choose whether to search by relevance or publication date.
For example, entering "wind farms" and sorting by "relevance" returns 730 R&D results (mostly technical reports). To see patent results, click on the “Patents” link at the top of the results screen. Other options include:
To reset your search, simply return to Home & Search.
Researchers using Google Scholar may now receive e-mail alerts reflecting their search parameters. At the top left corner of every search results page is an icon resembling an envelope. Click the icon, enter your email address, and click the "create alert" button. This is a quick and easy way to receive citations from Google Scholar on the subject(s) of your choice, without having to make repeated visits to the search engine and entering the same search criteria.
The Boulder Labs Library is conducting an online sorting protocol as part of the website redesign.
Thank you so much for your continued support of the library and its web redesign project. Learn more about this sorting protocol. If you have any questions or comments please contact Joan Segal, x5565.
