2017 Calendar Now Available

The Library’s 2017 calendar has been delivered to your mailbox. The calendar contains at-a-glance information on eBooks available via the library, including ebrary, Books 24x7, and IEEE-Wiley. Additionally, holidays are marked in red on the calendar, and paydays are in blue. If you have not received your calendar, stop by the Main or Branch Library to pick one up today.

Library Liaison Updates

Sue Visser, our new Public Services Librarian, has been added to the Library Liaison page, joining Mike Robinson and Aric Villarreal as part of the library’s collection development team. She is now liaison for divisions formerly belonging to Joan Segal, the Library’s chief. These include:

IET Introduces IET Open, Two New Open Access Journals

IET has introduced IET Open, a new initiative for supporting its full Open Access (OA) journals. Two new titles are being launched with IET Open, IET Cyber-Physical Systems: Theory and Applications and Engineering Biology. Other IET journals currently being published, High Voltage, Journal of Engineering, and Healthcare Technology Letters will also to be included under the program.

IET Cyber-Physical Systems: Theory and Applications began publishing December 2016. Engineering Biology will begin publishing in March 2017, and has waived APC’s until 2018. Healthcare Technology Letters will be fully converted to the Gold OA model in 2017, with all APC’s waived for the entire year.

Nature Releases New OA Journal, Accepting Submissions

Nature is releasing a new Open Access journal, npj Climate and Atmospheric Science as part of its Nature Partner Journals (npj) series. The journal’s focus will be in climate and atmospheric sciences. Features include:
