Charles Darwin Archive

The Complete Work of Charles Darwin Online (darwin-online.org.uk) is a collaborative effort of the University of Cambridge, the Charles Darwin Trust, and others.

Author of the Origin of species, Darwin's (1809-1882) "original work in geology, botany, biogeography, invertebrate zoology, psychology and travel writing would still make him one of the most original and influential workers in the history of science."

Expected to be fully complete by 2009, the site currently contains over 50,000 searchable text pages and 40,000 images, including the Beagle field notebooks. Audio is also available.

Our library has much more than technical (and perhaps dry) reading and viewing materials. Here's a sampling of books and videos about fascinating history and scientist biographies that we offer, perfect for holiday traveling or waiting for the snow to melt.

If you'd like to place a hold on a book for office delivery (or you can visit the library and read in a comfy chair), just contact us and we'll be happy to assist.

Books and videos are located in the Main Library unless otherwise noted. Search the catalog for more books.
