Carrie Smith

Carrie (she/her/hers) has led diverse teams as the Library Manager of the Earl S. Tupper Library in Tropical Biology for the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama and as the Collections Librarian for the Smithsonian Libraries History & Culture Department. She has cataloged rare books for the National Air & Space Museum Library as well as 18th and 19th century publications for the Folger Shakespeare Library. She began her library career as a Government Documents Librarian at the NOAA Central Library and is excited to return to serving Department of Commerce research. A bibliophile at heart, Carrie collects children's literature (Oziana) and moveable books.
