Thank you for visiting the Boulder Labs Library website, a service of the Department of Commerce. Our privacy policy is clear: we will collect no personal information about you when you visit our website unless you choose to provide the information to us. If you do nothing during your visit but browse through the website, read pages, or download information, we will gather and store certain information about your visit automatically. This information does not identify you personally.

How Information is Used
We use this information that we collect to help us make our site more useful to visitors -- to learn about the number of visitors to our site and the types of technology our visitors use. We do not track or record personal identifiable information about individuals and their visits.

These forms may ask for personal identifiable information from the user such as: name, email, and phone number when a user is requesting for assistance with finding resources or is signing up for a newsletter.

The Boulder Labs Library website does not use persistent cookies to track users. However, one or more of the website components may utilize session cookies to simplify the users navigation. These cookies are deleted from the server after a users session ends.

The Boulder Labs Library website uses Google Analytics as defined by the Office of Management and Budget's OMB M-10-22 or the "Guidance for Online Use of Web Measurement and Customization Technologies". Google Analytics uses cookies, these cookies start with _utm, to recognize your computer if you visit the Boulder Labs Library again in the future.

Amount of Time Information is Retained
For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, this government computer system employs software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.
Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on this service are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and the National Information Infrastructure Protection Act .
Except for authorized law enforcement investigations, no other attempts are made to identify individual users or their usage habits. Raw data logs are used for no other purposes and are scheduled for regular destruction in accordance with the National Archives and Records Administration General Schedule 20 .
Privacy Act System of Records
The Boulder Labs Library website does not have any Privacy Act System of Records (PASOR) as defined by the Privacy Act .
Interaction with Children
The Boulder Labs Library does not have content for children and does not collect personally identifiable information from children. For these purposes, the Boulder Labs Library has not incorporated the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) into the online privacy policy.
